ETH Bishkek is a hackathon dedicated to web3 technologies, hosted in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. We deeply value every participant and are committed to providing a welcoming, enjoyable, and rewarding experience for all.
To ensure a positive environment, all participants must treat each other with respect and courtesy throughout the event. Below, you’ll find our Rules & Code of Conduct — by participating in ETH Bishkek, you agree to adhere to them. The organizers will actively enforce these guidelines during the hackathon.
Rules on Pre-existing Work
Judging will be based only on the work completed during the timeframe of the hackathon.
If you incorporate any existing code, you must clearly disclose it when submitting your project. Should we find that pre-existing work has been used without disclosure, you will be required to explain the distinction between the old and newly developed components.
Note: Historically, projects that heavily rely on pre-existing work tend to score lower than those building something original during the event. Remember: the spirit of ETH Bishkek is to build and create.
Code of Conduct
ETH Bishkek is a space for innovation, collaboration, and mutual learning. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment or any harmful behaviour.
- "Harassment" includes but is not limited to: offensive comments (verbal, written, or online) related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, ethnicity, physical appearance, race, religion; sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation; stalking; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. If asked to stop any such behaviour, participants must comply immediately.
- This policy applies to everyone at the event — including sponsors, judges, mentors, volunteers, organizers, and attendees.
- Be thoughtful and intentional with your words and actions. Sexist, racist, or exclusionary remarks or projects will not be tolerated.
- Violations may result in warnings, removal from the event, or more severe consequences at the organizers' discretion.
- If you experience or witness a violation, please contact a member of the organizing team or email us at [email protected].
